Frequently asked questions

Why do traps stop working after a few weeks?
Because trapping removes the current population but not the entry points. New rodents follow the same scent trails in through the same gaps. Sealing is what ends it.
How small a gap can a mouse use?
About a quarter of an inch, roughly a pencil width. Rats need around half an inch. That is why a full inspection matters more than the trapping.
Do you use poison?
We avoid interior rodenticide wherever possible, because a poisoned rodent dying in a wall creates an odour and insect problem. Trapping plus exclusion is the better route.
How long does rodent control take in your state?
Inspection and sealing are usually one to two visits. Trapping runs alongside for a couple of weeks with monitoring until activity stops.
Is the contamination a health risk?
Rodent droppings and urine can carry pathogens, and dried droppings become airborne when disturbed. Cleanup and sanitising are part of the job.
Do you handle commercial rodent control?
Yes, with scheduled monitoring, bait station logs and documentation suitable for health inspections.
